Underpinning my training and experience lies a deeply held belief in the value of mutual respect, de-shaming and compassion. Believing that there is always a reason for the internal struggles which we face I offer a safe space for the exploration of whatever brings you to therapy.

My approach
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
This is a body-centred approach which was developed using a scientific understanding of how our nervous systems respond to trauma. The main idea is that
everything we experience has a body component to it e.g. a movement, a habitual gesture or posture. Noticing this in a mindful and respectful way can support how we work with thoughts and emotions, and help us address unhelpful patterns in life.
Internal Family Systems
This is a model which sees personalities as having internal ‘parts’, each with their own unique qualities and viewpoints. It believes all our ‘parts’ - even the ones we find challenging - are trying to help us in their own way. When we can be with our different parts with compassion and understanding, we can enable the whole system to become less stuck in old patterns of behaviours.
